All About Creepy Crawlies
Many invertebrates have a short lifespan. Find out how we breed them for display as the various stages of their life cycle unfold before your eyes. Includes a chance to hold a hissing cockroach, if you dare!

Tame Animals Encounter
Enjoy a close encounter with a funny bunny and a cuddly chinchilla. Befriend a friendly ferret and meet an inquisitive turtle. (Animal appearance is subjected to availability).

DAY 3 (28 May)

Arrival and Meeting at Orchidville (Parents are supposed to bring their child/children to Orchidville at Mandai Road)

9.15am

Orchids Galore @ Orchidville
A dazzling variety of orchids have been cultivated and are exported from Singapore to various countries. Take a look at how this happens @ Orchidville. Try your hand at potting an orchid plant and find out what vanilla has to do with orchids.

Lunch at KFC (Zoo Entrance)

Manatee Feeding
Feed the mermaids and watch them grasp the water plants with their flexible lips. A rare chance to meet these close cousins of elephants up close and personal.

The Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia
Watch a troop of over 60 hamadryas baboons interact and be amused by their strikingly human-like behaviours and expressions. You will get a chance to feed the baboons as well!

3.15pm

Wildlife Healthcare & Research Centre Tour
Darts and guns, vitamins and calcium supplements. the Interpretive Gallery brings light to visitors how our 4,000 animals are kept in the pink by our zookeepers and vets. Go behind-the-scenes of the world-class animal hospital and you may even get the chance to witness one of our vets in action.

Big, big, big – everything about an elephant is huge. Unearth mega facts about these giants while you ponder over the amount of poo that they produce – it’s over 100kg a day!

A Piece of Green
Enjoy a piece of green, extract brilliant plant dyes and learn about the plants that produce our favourite chocolate, spice up our food or change history.

Fragile Forest Guided Tour
The race’s on – spot the most number of elusive rainforest animals within a given time period. Watch the archerfish shoot their prey down with a jet of water, meet the tribal people and understand the need to protect our rainforests.
