Boat Rides @ the Zoo

Come join us for a splendid boat ride on the tranquil Upper Selatar Reservoir. Fringing the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari, the reservoir is part of the Central Catchment Area and what better way to enjoy the reservoir than from a boat.

There are 4 boats for guests to cruise on and they are Sampan Omar, Sampan Komali, Sampan Pedro and Sampan Ah Meng, all named after famous Zoo animal personalities. The 44-seater boats are decked up in nautical style with treasure chests and smaller 'sampans' aloft. Guests will be able to walk right to the water edge on a floating platform where they will board the boat. While you are on the 20-min boat ride, you can look forward to learning more about our native wildlife, such as the majestic bird of prey - the white-bellied sea eagle or the stork-billed kingfisher. It may just be your lucky day to spot the birds soaring in the sky. All ears on the live commentary too and you will learn a tip or two on how to conserve water - one of our most important resources.
