Capitaland Signs Mou Microsoft Ai Adoption

SINGAPORE (THE BUSINESS TIMES) – Capitaland Group has entered into a memorandum of understanding (Mou) with technology giant Microsoft, as part of the group’s efforts to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and other advanced technologies in its businesses.The agreement will see CapitaLand become a member of Microsoft Singapore’s AI Pinnacle Program. This will give the group access to Microsoft’s platforms, services, and solutions, which will contribute to better customer engagement and improved operational efficiencies across the various businesses under CapitaLand’s umbrella.Through this collaboration, CapitaLand and Microsoft will explore potential areas of collaboration in infrastructure development. The group will look into leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing platform to help develop data centre designs and products for CapitaLand Investment.As part of its digital transformation efforts, CapitaLand will also focus on integrating AI, data analytics, and machine learning into its business processes.Speaking about the collaboration, Quah Ley Hoon, Group Chief Corporate Officer of CapitaLand Investment, says, “Our collaboration with Microsoft is a significant step towards CapitaLand’s digital transformation journey. AI technology will play a crucial role in shaping our future, bringing about operational efficiencies and creating value for all our stakeholders.”In addition to the partnership with Microsoft, CapitaLand Investment (CLI), the real asset management arm of CapitaLand, has also signed an MoU with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF). Under this agreement, the two entities will collaborate on digitalisation and the integration of AI across CLI’s retail ecosystem.The primary focus of this partnership will be to promote the adoption of AI, data analytics, and cybersecurity solutions among retail tenants. As part of the initiative, the partners will also look at developing AI-focused competencies and skills among these tenants, thus improving their competitiveness and business efficiency.
